@Bobcat-Sig it definitely varies — a customer service rep from Merz told me that this can happen due to those old loopwheel machines. I’ve never had it be too drastic as in a shirt being a whole size off, but I’ve definitely XL henleys that were either a little small or big. Going to Self Edge is a great idea, as the only true way to know is to try them on.

To answer your question about size, I’m a L in every “normal” shirt or jacket, save for the occasional thing that runs too big or small. Those are rare though. In IH tops I’m almost always an XL, but I’ve gotten an L in a couple things like CPOs that tend to run a bit big sometimes.

Anyone have any experience with the textured heavyweight cotton hoodies sold direct on their site for 265$ and maybe can compare them to IH hoodies. Merz gets confusing because there seems to be totally different style hoodies based on retailer. But they have a sharp one in blue on my size I'd like to try. I've also been looking at an IH one also. I just can't figure out if I want zip or pullover. Maybe I need both an IH and Merz and I'll compare them self for science.

Hey, I’d like a watch cap and have zeroed in on the Merz. I think. Do any of you have one? What’s the difference between modern fit and standard?

I bought a 214 from Merz a few years ago and it was great. It got thrown in the dryer unintentionally and shrunk a lot, so I replaced it recently. The new one’s collar sits a bit high off the skin. It bothers me. Am I being too particular or would you agree?

I stumbled upon Merz on the Nordstrom Rack website yesterday. Limited selection and sizing, but absolute steals for prices.

Figured I’d pass it along in case anyone has money burning a hole in their pocket.
