I was in the same boat. Jeans with zero stretch really make you come to terms with your body type and proportions.

If I were you I’d try an 888. The longer rise isn’t just to get higher on your waist, it’s also helpful in giving more room in the crotch. Both of those helped me keep my jeans from pulling down my ass crack every time I sat down. Unfortunately the saggy butt is really only fixed with weight loss or super stretchy jeans. I tried sizing up in 666 and 777, but like most big dudes I have big calves. I couldn’t fit my calves past the knee of those fits.

Food for thought: if you have non-stretch jeans with a tight fitting seat, you will likely be very uncomfortable when seated. You either need stretch or room.

What genre? Sounds like garage rock to me.

              Could be, definitely alternative.

But it depends on the lead. Ziggy and the Saggy Butts could be singer-songwriter.

@Karol I have the SST in 777, and the stretch definitely helps, though I think SST in a different cut would help even more. I know if I scour the forums I can probably find the answer, but do you know a rough ETA when the SST is coming back and if it's coming back in all the cuts besides 634/1955?

@wjw SST in 634 and size to account for stretch (ie, tight at the waist when new).

Alternatively buy 666 in SST and size for the thighs. The waist will likely be big. But the top block will be trim so it won’t matter.

But the advice for the 666 stands. My best fitting jeans have always been 666 sized up to fit the thighs.

I second the recommendation for the 888 cut. Size TTS. Wear a belt. The rear rise will prevent the crack showing. The way the cut will go below the gut and high enough over the butt to help against the sag. You might want to find a size 38 with a 37”-37.5” waist. I think that will be a great choice for you.

I have both the 888 and 666 both fit great. I cannot wear a low rise, they feel uncomfortable on me.
I find the 888 my best fit in IH jeans but 666 is close. In my other brands I always look for a rear rise of 17inches whenever possible.

Totally feel you. It was weird the first time I wore them too. Now I can’t get enough of them. I love my 634-UHR, but honestly wish they were 888 cut. Also cool note. The 888 have deeper pockets than the 634 and that makes a difference for me too. Maybe try and get a used pair in your size and see if you like the cut. Or if you have the ability to try on it might be worth it. I didn’t really have a butt for a while. Now that I’ve been consistently working out again. It also helps. But that’s another story. Definitely worth a shot for your body type

@wjw I worry about the 888 cut on you. If the front rise falls below the belly when you are moving the back with undoubtedly follow, and the sag will happen yet again. I wonder if any of the larger fellas on the IHUK staff have put some work in on 888's and can weigh in. The waist sits really high, you just don't see bigger guys wearing high waisted jeans much.

It's mostly slender fellas that look good with tucked in shirts (I do not). I have the 888 cut in XHS denim. I can make them work and I don't have a flat belly at all, but it doesn't hang either. maybe TTS 888's and rock suspenders if you want to give them a shot. or the elasticated belt could be a worthy option. https://www.kuhl.com/kuhl/other/bags-gear/arkive-belt/?color=Raven I have this Kuhl belt and it's awesome.
