@mclaincausey Those are very nice glasses!

@Paul9221
Haha! Thanks, iPhone portrait mode does wonders!

Apparently my new glasses (Moscot Lemtosh in Classic Havana with clip on shades) were waiting at the optometrist since the 9th.
I’m pleased!
Looks awesome. What frame size did you get? I'm considering to get a new frame as I lost my old one and my eyes are tired and is in need of one. I'm however considering the Lemtosh with nose pads.

Anyone know of a good place to go try on glasses in NYC? Looking to up the Glasses game

I know Moscot have quite a few stores there and as some of the guys above have said, the quality is exceptional

@Joberwocky I got a pair of the lilac Rays in the sale. I'm not sure if they're going to suit me, how they'll fit, or whether they'll work with my prescription, but I figured that either they'll be completely awesome or a complete disaster or the coolest thing ever.
@Steffen I think that JMM re-release some styles from time-to-time, but generally in different colours. I was looking for the Ringo model earlier this year and couldn't find it anywhere. They haven't done another run, so it looks like I've missed out.

@BOTC_OLLY what glasses are you wearing in the new look book/ catalog? My girlfriend keeps asking me and I don’t have the answer.

Well, I decided to gamble on scratching the itch for chunky acetate sunnies without springing for the JMM. Got roped into these MVMT glasses by an Instagram ad [emoji2957].
I’m actually very pleased with them. For ~$80 pair, they are okay quality, and have exactly the heft/size I was looking for. Hopefully these can tide me over until I can spring for what I really want [emoji41]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This raybans look pretty nice, Matt, but you should check out these ones that I got—they’re the best sunnies I’ve gotten in a while. https://www.mvmt.com/mens-sunglasses/trap/M0511.html?dwvar_M0511_color=Black%20%2B%20Grey%20Lens&dwvar_M0511_polarization=NO

I saw those @sabergirl They’re very nice, esp the color you got. I actually don’t need sunglasses at all. I have some Ray Bans, two pair of Sunskis and a whole bunch of cheap Knockarounds. Check those out if you want some fun glasses that you won’t mind losing or breaking.
I just don’t have any $600 designer Japanese sunglasses. And based on my wife’s reaction to them I won’t have any in the near or distant future.

Agreed. @sabergirl I didn't realize yours were MVMT, that's cool–I thought they only made watches. CR39 lenses too. I already liked how they looked but they seem to be really good quality especially for the asking price.
I agree with @JDelage on the quality of Maui Jim lenses especially if you want polarized. I will say that they are not for me the only "rose-colored" glasses (meaning the world looks better with than without) that I've experienced–I feel that way about my (non-polarized) JMMs, though I wouldn't put them against Maui Jims for certain applications. I also like some polycarbonate Maui Jim lenses, in particular the copper ones in the Wiki Wiki gold colorway, which have a top-down gradient (not the combined top-down, bottom-up gradient you sometimes see in MJ). I like amber lenses that are only as tinted as they need to be, such that they can handle variable lighting conditions really well. Gradients can really enhance that characteristic, though my JMMs have done well so far without it.

Got the Dita "Haliod" frames today. On a bit of an eyewear binge recently. I've been eyeing the Dita Schema Two and JMM Fumio.
