Moleskin would be pretty sweet….the cord collar has been done a couple times with IH jackets, most recently with the 61 work jacket, so it might be nice to see some variance....

I think a cord collar works better with a type 3. plus, if it's windy/cold out and you want to flip your collar upwards, the leather would be cold on your neck.

Yes, another vote for a modified longer version type III.  Olive and Brown whipcord modified type III

If you go with cord, any thoughts on lining the cuffs too? I’ve seen pics of that detail but never owned a jacket with cord lined cuffs, but the esthetic is interesting.

Have you ever considered a Wrangler style denim/other jacket? I like the lee 101J style but the wrangler equivalent of a type III was pretty awesome.  Similar to this.
