Well, my dad, not yours! In the interim my uncle, who passed this year, used it to do dirty jobs and I found it on his yard covered in oil stains and the like a few years back. I had it restored and now look forward to cold weather so I can bust it out again.

@EdH Very nice! Sentimental pieces are better than anything else. My father was a scientist, and I just found his lab apron last summer and it's made of selvedge denim. Probably from the 70s? I should take a picture of it and post it somewhere.
