Saw the Wetties a couple of times in early 2022 after Chaise Longue, and they were an innocent amateur silly uni band, but they were having fun.
Recently saw them at Brixton Academy, and they were a very different band. The lead singer seems to have been crushing it in her CrossFit box and now patrols the stage like Henry Rollins on heat. The band dynamics were super different. The lead guitarist seems even more reserved than before and had very little interaction on stage with the vocalist, when they previously seemed to frolic together.
If I were a betting person, I would not give this current lineup chances of staying together much beyond this summer tour pay days. But hey, what do I know – they could have just been having an “off” night in Brixton.

What a moment i bet that was

Slayer in Finsbury Park tonight made me think that's what Metallica wants to be when they grow up.

For those of you Wet Leg fans, tickets for their tour go on sale with Ticketmaster tomorrow. Portsmouth included in schedule plus several in Europe and plenty of towns across the US.
-
@Bridger are you planning to pop down?
-
Hi @IrishHeart,
No, I would have, but I will be at Stevie Wonder at Hyde Park. Keen to see the Ezra Collective again.

Bob Vylan did a last minute gig at the 100 Club last night. Tickets went on sale in the afternoon and instantly sold out (300 seat venue). Guttered I missed it.

Cracking evening yesterday seeing The Black Keys at Alexandra Palace…overlooking the city (of London).

I never thought I’d actually get to see Herbie Hancock perform but I caught the last of his three nights at the Barbican this evening. Not sure I’m completely on board with the “robots and AI are our children and we’ve got to be kind to them” thing but all in all it was a great night. They finished with Chameleon which was amazing!
