The 801s convinced me to abandon the slim fit look… They were so much more comfortable to work in and just live in than anything else.. Very versatile as well... Would love to see a fit pic of you in the 801s teamed up with the 9527Js once they're hemmed!..

801s don't look good unless they're hemmed to true size. Only slim jeans does…

Lol, yeah, once I get them hemmed, I'll throw up some pics…with and without the 9527J.  It'll be an interesting combo as the 801s are kinda loose but the 9527J is pretty fitted.

Going to see if the wife can hemm the 801s tonight.

            Blanket-line all the things!!!

With layers maybe, but it is only a shell. But yes, depends on where you live.

Coldest during winter is +7C°?.. This jacket may be too warm then!..

I finally got around to wearing the jacket these last couple of days, and I love it. The 40 / Large is a really good fit for me when wearing a t-shirt and a medium weight hooded sweat underneath it. For the record, I am 192 cm (6'3") and a mighty 71 kg (156). Fit pics when I get around to it, my camera is busted at the moment.

This might be sacrilege and I would like to apologize in advance, but I will try to dye the fabric that the pocket is made from. Not big on colored details, no matter how tasteful it might be.

If you wear something underneath it, yes. Last winter, I wore my black Type III with a heavy wool commando sweater underneath it, and it worked fine unless it was snowing or below five degrees (Celsius). The fabric also holds up surprisingly well against water.

                              Hey folks,

Can anyone help, thinking of getting one of these (finally) but would like it snug but comfy, so in all measurements the XXXL looks right (XXL would be good but just right and not allow me to layer). There is one problem thouhg…

I'm worried about the sleeves! As far as I can tell from measurements they are a good 3-5cm too long, in comparisons to similar 'cafe racer' style jackets I have had or tried.

So, can anyone reassure me it'll be OK?  😉

There is something unsurprising about that. 🙂

Yeah I'm sorry lad… It's just that I have 2 of these rider jackets (indigo and duck), and on both the sleeves are a tad too long (more so on the indigo), but honestly I could not give one fuck less... These jackets are, simply put, ART... Mindblowing... I love 'm to bits and can't wait for it to get colder so I can wear 'm!..

All in all: useless advice  😉

Nooo…it's good advice! My reply was a more smiling "well, obviously!" 😃

P.s. that last bit of the comment. The cotton is that substantial that you need it to get colder?! Nice!  🙂

The sleeves are long because it's designed to be worn while riding a motorcycle.  If you are like me and don't ride, you can cuff the sleeves to make them approximately 2cm shorter.  With this cuff, the sleeves fit perfectly.  There is a pic of me somewhere in this thread demonstrating this.

I get that. My worry was that they are long, according to the measurements, compared to other bike jackets with long sleeves - I've had Dainese and Belstaff jackets both with shorter sleeves, though other measurements being slightly larger. But, it depends where the measurements are taken from I guess.
