Are you basing yourself in Nagoya for the weekend @louisbosco?
How do you travel into Suzuka each day?
-
@Giles I’ve recently watched a one mile at a time video where they reviewed the new Cathay aria suites. They’ve also mentioned the Cathay lounge was one of the best at Heathrow
@Bridger yeah I will be basing myself in Nagoya for the race weekend. We will get there by train/ shuttle bus or a 10min walk. Takes about an hour to an hour half

Thanks @louisbosco
We are planning a family trip there for next year's race. My Dad has been scoping out the different grandstands.
How are the Yuki vibes? The crowd will be nuts I imagine.
-
@Bridger I personally like A2 and D section.
A2 is what we're having this year, at the end of the straight, wanted B to look over the up the main straight and the start of the S curve but those went quick.
D is after the first set of S, literally where it start. those are great too.
the japanese crowd in general go all out with their fan support. it's not just Yuki and Honda. obviously being Honda's (last) home race, they have plenty of support and Honda stuff going about.
the japanese fans do dress up well in colourful and creative outfits and fan gear! saw fans with race suits today and to top it off, someone even had Vettel's helmet to go with the outfit!
-
@Bridger I’m planting seeds for the same. The overlap with the Sakura blooms is my enticement for my wife
-
Thanks again for the tips @louisbosco.
Sounds amazing!
I hope you score some Honda merch.
I wonder if the Yuki decision to coincide with the last Honda race had anything to do with it? Perhaps as a thank you to Honda.

Exactly @mclaincausey - Dad and I have been looking for an F1 race to attend and my mum has wanted to see the cherry blossums and ride around on the shinkansens - so it could be a winning combo.

@Bridger sorry mate. I'm a Ferrari fan. no Honda merch here
this is my second time in Suzuka and the weather was completely different from the first. 2023 was late summer and high 20C low 30C. however this time, it's low 10C.
merch went pretty quick, the hoodies sizes went fast and I managed to secure an M over the west end of the track. I'm still hunting for a half zip pull over top. my mate asked me to help him look for the japanese exclusive cap but that went pretty quick too.
interesting to see if they will restock for Saturday and Sunday.
will give more details on the whole weekend after the race is over.
