I'd imagine it's not part of that SBG jeans drop, but I'd be so stoked to be proven wrong.

          Hey @AdamJ,

Really great shots! Really love how the grey is showing on the sleeves in your most recent pics.

I've been determined to find a jacket in the SBG in my size for some time now, and recently just purchased a Type III from The Shop in Vancouver in an XL (en route as we speak). I struggle a little bit with sizing for IH jackets/shirts because I find that I sit right on the cusp between L & XL.

I noticed that the modified Type III I grabbed seems to differ from other modified Type III. This was how this was described on the Shop's website:

the fit of this jacket differs from other modified Type IIIs in our lineup. Originally, this run was intended to debut a brand-new model based on the same cut as our signature IH-526PJ. However, due to a production mix-up, we inadvertently re-ran our original SBG Type III jacket from 2016

Is the OG jacket from your photos from the same run as described above, and if so, how do you find the fit?

Wondering if an XL from this run will be too roomy in the body/arms for my 108 cm chest/187 cm tall frame (compared to the newer modified Type III fits).

@spacedans hey man, thanks a lot!

It's a little confusing as you mention, we intended this jacket to be produced, same as the IH-526PJ but due to a mixup, the original was run.

The sample jacket I have and is pictured in this thread, has not been produced at all yet (it's in production at the moment).

Sizing wise, I find it fits pretty similar to my other Type III which is the IH-526Lod. Hard to tell at this point though regarding sizing, will be a lot easier once the production run arrives and we can measure. It's not uncommon for things to be tweaked from the sample for example.

I tend to err on the bigger side if I am between sizes, can always cuff a sleeve or wear and extra layer to make a bigger size work where as if it's too small, options are limited.

I'll get some fresh pics of it up soon!

The devil is in the detail..

              Thanks @AdamJ!

It looks great either way. Excited to see how the original fits when I receive it and looking forward to some fresh pics of your sample jacket soon. 🙏

@JoshC I am a little confused now. You say it’s nothing on the schedule and @AdamJ say's in his last post that it is in production. Can you tell me what’s correct? If this will hit the store in the next months or at least 2026 I would pass on the 14oz black/black type III like a said I'm for of an SBG guy.

@robinvonbatman both are correct- an order has been submitted, but it has not been added to the production schedule and so no ETD exists. Get an IHJ-86.

@Alex what’s the difference in fade potential between the IH-526J-SBG and IH-86?

Plenty of pics of faded examples of both jackets if you look at the product threads @chillmonroe

@chillmonroe sorry mate, I totally missed this tag. The SBG denim fades with sluighly higher contrast to the 14oz BB denim

@Alex no worries, thanks for the reply. Is the SBG also a faster fader?
