It’s based on their Desert Run pattern, with a few tweaks to the sizing of some measurements (I’m broad in the chest and shoulder, narrow in the waist) and dropping the right hand chest pocket. In their natural veg tan Italian horse hide and olive cotton lining.

It’s had one treatment last summer with Obenauf’s leather oil, and a hell of a lot of sun tan when we had a very hot July last year. If you go back to this time last year in the Simmons Bilt thread, you can see what the colour started out as, though it’s still somewhat visible on the interior.

It’s probably overdue another oiling - I’ve gotten it completely soaked a few times in the last year when I misread the weather.

@EdH It’s really perfect,and although I didn’t know why at the time, it was the semi slanted front pocket that caught my eye. Just curious,did you at any point consider having 2 upper front pockets. Thank so much for posting the pictures.

@Jett129 no, I knew I only wanted the one exterior chest pocket. Two might be more ‘biker’ but I don’t ride and anything other than a Type 3 has always looked a bit weird with two to me.
