Wrong.  The face of the two types of snaps is the same, the ONLY way you can tell is to see the reverse sided of the female portion or the face side of the male portion.  As you can't see those in any of the pics the answer is a "don't know"….I suspect they can be pimped, as the material is not too heavy, but we have no evidence to be definitive....

will TW shirts ever be released in an even smaller size? i'm an XS in all iron heart shirts and they are still a little big for my asian body.. and the smallest in TW are huge on me!

More than probable.  Once a design is laid out for the first time, that becomes the template for future iterations, unless a specific design change is called for.  I can't be 100% certain until I see the jean though.
