Man, this one is very tempting. The 16oz slubby denim of my 888s absolutely rocks.

Is there also sizing / starch applied after the washing process, presumably, when the garments are ironed out nice and flat?

Nope......It is an urban myth that starch is applied to jeans post construction. At least, there is no point and I know of no one who does so.

Just picked this bad boy up. Fucking love the look and the fit. Couple questions. Is it normal to have to unbutton the sleeve openings to take these jackets off? I can slide it on with buttons closed but can’t take it off without undoing them. Seems like it might be a pain but maybe with time they’ll stretch a bit. I don’t think going a size up will make sense, overall. It fits well. Second - should I soak this first or just start wearing it?

@PDXPean it should stretch some, but i do find myself undoing buttons on jackets and snaps on CPOs to take them off. Kind of by habit. After its broken in, its easy to do so with one hand. No need to soak it.

@PDXPean IH hot washes most (all?) of their non-leather/technical clothing at the end of production, if I'm not mistaken. Thusly, soaking is redundant, and shrinkage will typically be very minimal.

Plenty of stretch with this fabric though.

I just picked this jacket up from Self Edge. I went with the XXXL instead of my usual XXL as the XXL was a hair snug. I'm hoping to get a little shrink from my first soak. Will post photos once my Leica is back from the shop.

I'm still waiting on me SL2-S to get back from the shop, but here are a few snaps with the Q2 Monochrom. I dig this jacket:

Thank you Rox! I have actually seen his fading magic with that piece. I was hoping to check out the evo on this type III.

Had my hopes dashed for one of these recently, retailer said they had my size, as it turns out they did not. Is there any hope of a restock in the near future?

I need some sizing advice here from the shop and maybe some owners too. I’m 6 feet, 195 pounds with a muscular build. I actually have the Overdye version of this jacket in XXXL but I’d like to get the indigo one too. The OD jacket fits me definitely on the roomy side with plenty of room to layer. And the XXXL OD matches closely in specs with the XXL in this jacket (which tracks as OD garments are pre-shrunk). It does seem like I could probably squeeze in the XL but the consensus here seems to be this jacket fits on the slim side. Wyd fam?

@pfw821 Based purely on what you've said i'd say the XXL is a safe bet, the XL might be a bridge too far..But as always the specific measurements are the most telling.

Your best bet is to run a tape measure over your OD (using our measurement guide) and see how it stacks up to the size chart for the indigo and go from there.
