@Ross Just curious...Can you even get zippers from the factory? Just because I've never seen them, doesn't mean it's not an option.. After posting this ,I went to the site and they don't offer zippers.

@Jett129 not an option as far as I know. Not on any of their options lists and I've certainly never seen a pair of Wescos of any variety zippered from factory

@Ross From what I can gather,Wesco won't even do it if you supply the zippers.

@Jett129 Not up to Wesco standards, so my guess is a local cobbler. I’ll take em though, they look great w Jeans 😁🤘

@Jett129 I must admit I've never asked or been asked before but I'd be surprised to the extreme if they did.

The MrLou is an engineer boot after all - being a pull-on is one of the defining characteristics, let alone the production difficulties involved sewing a zip in through horsehide while maintaining the durability that Wesco pride themselves on

Chris would not do any customizations on the Mr Lou when someone in the store asked him on one of my visits. Size/fit adjustments only.

Need sizing advice, as I've never tried on Mister Lous, or any Wescos. I like a 9.5E in Redwings, and a 10D in sneakers. Since the Purps only come in whole sizes and standard width, what would you do?

@Go-For-Chill the Mr. Lou last is quite narrow, the E is much closer to a standard D. If you are an E in red wings I would personally advise against the D. For this same reason, I would have picked up a pair of the leftovers but just can’t make it work… it’s a gamble for this price point.

I agree with @SourPower I also find the Lou to be fairly narrow and I would go for the E, I wear 10D in Red Wing, and I go for the E in the Lou

@Go-For-Chill I’m a 9.5D on the Brannock device and wear a 9E in the Mr. Lou; the D width is too narrow for me in the Mr. Lou. I have 4 pair of Mr. Lou’s, including the “purps”, all in E width and they all fit well. I don’t own any RW, so can’t suggest that comparison. For a sneaker comparison, I wear a 10D in my running sneaker - the ASICS Gel Kayano.

Sounds like the purps weren’t meant to be for my wife half-sized foot.
