      Hey @Skelly

We take these measurements on the outside of the jacket. As a general rule I think we all go a size down from our jacket/western shirt sizing, so I'd probably go with a XXL in your case?

Ok perfect! Thanks for the reply. I was leaning towards the XXL.
          Much appreciated

@AdamJ AJ I figured for sure you’d be a small now I’m thrown off on sizing.  I usually wear same size you do, you doing some heavy layering with the medium?

Those of you waiting to pull the trigger on this, I am super excited for you, this jacket is just absolutely incredible. I may or may not have tried the sample on at least 20 times  😃

@LeDuc_RW The medium is the better of the two in this jacket. Ultimately the reason I don't own a deck jacket is because my body shape does not agree with the pattern  😃

                    Size Small:
Correct in the sleeve and body length
                    Too small in the shoulder
Too tight in the chest to allow wearing a UHF

                    Size Medium:
Correct in the shoulder and chest
Too long in the sleeve and body length

If I 'had' to get one I'd go Medium, as it's the 'better' overall fit of the two.

@AdamJ I’m in the same boat, but man this coat seems so good I’m gonna shoot my shot.  I’ll go the medium like you said and request the shortest sleeve.  Thanks for the input!!

Is the olive whipcord fabric used on this version the same color as the IHM-35-ODG? Then the oil finish is applied to the fabric (I am assuming) before the jacket is assembled? Would this finish need to be maintained and re-applied periodically like a waxed canvas finish?

                            Hi All,

I'm usually xxl in UHFs, and usually 1 size larger than Olly. But the shoulder measurement for this one is narrow, 19.1 vs 19.7 on the M65 olive Sateen. Is it ok? I'd love to be able to fit a UHF underneath. Should I go up to XXL for this?

I wear size small for UHF western, does that mean My size for this jacket is XS? Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏

Not necessarily. It all depends on how much you want/need to layer the jacket, and how broad your shoulders are. Many people size down in an N1, but I have one that’s tts so I can put a uhf or hoody underneath without sacrificing range of motion.

I will most likely try and grab a Large in this release to account for layering. I just purchased the Nylon coaches jacket as well so these two jackets will have to take turns in the daily wardrobe.

You going the same size as your UHF or going to size down?

I gonna get XS because I like it slim and the jacket itself is warm enough for a subtropical country where I live, so i dont really need layering. I gonna wear it with 11ounce long sleeve Ts , thermal Henley or IH-1700 🙂 My M65 is XS, it fits me perfectly 🙂

I recently stood around for a few hours in mid 30s Fahrenheit cloudy, windy weather with my N1 unzipped over just a medium weight long sleeve thermal and it kept me plenty warm. It would have to be well below freezing to need to layer this jacket significantly. It’s very warm and very windproof.
