just pull out old string & thread through new one

Hint. If you have some strong sticky tape, do the following. Leave the original lace in the hood. Lay the old lace and the new lace point to point and then tape so that you effectively have a double length lace, then pull the old one through and the new one will follow nicely. No re-lacing required…..
