Not if you're a frog
It is a viscerally intimidating thing if you don't know your snakes so I get her reaction. I bet you chuckle every time

Well yes
but you got to know that venomous snakes are very very rare in Austria and none in our area. We once had a 2 metre grass snake lying on the lawn for a whole day trying to get a huge toad three times as big as her head into her mouth… guess who didn't leave the houes the whole day -
Yesterday trying to build a feeder for a family of 6 woodpeckers which appear to be nesting in a dead palm tree in my yard. Not done yet.
Hope to post some pics of them in a few days.
