    @Daniel-San not to distract from sunshine and beautiful kids 🙂 the extent of the forest damage in the background is a bit scary!

      it’s unbelievable how destroyed the forest is. Almost nothing left , the bark beetle 🪲 killed them all .

          The bark beatle was there nearly a decade ago.
          Reforestation projects stuck in bureaucracy and with the lack of planters who won’t work on piece-rate basis.
          Guess it will need more than a generation, until we see a closed forest in our region again.

                                This is a Kookaburra. They're a relative of the Kingfisher that's native to Australia, and they're about the size of a crow.

                                They're hunters, and I saw one today that had caught a small snake. That's the large worm in its beak. It's not a great photo, as I snapped it with my phone on maximum zoom.
