What's the consensus on wearing these during summer?

They're really breathable and comfortable in the summer. I'm wearing mine now. While it's only ~19 Celsius at the moment, I've also worn them in 30+C heat and they're cooler than my denim. Not being as dark either, they don't grab so much of the radiation heat from the sun.

I love my ducks. I generally wear them on backcountry fishing trips. They make a great sturdy layer for bushwhacking and rock protection. They get some non fishing use too. But boy are they perfect for rough wear!!

@weftyarn thanks man!! One thing I’ve found with the duck fabric is stains seem to come out really easily. I had several I was concerned about. Rubbed a bit of liquid detergent on them, have a hand wash, then boom!! Clean as a whistle!

Yup, experienced the same. Incredibly forgiving fabric in every sense. And if it has stains that don’t go out it somehow looks nice anyways haha.

@weftyarn it took me a couple years to realize, even though IH gear is pricey and it’s easy to want to baby it due to the price…really what that price is getting you is a garment that can take damn near anything you throw at it and come out even radder! It’s such a mind bender sometimes.

250 days of wear washed a lot but I like that faded washed look on these canvas I never really get a full year of wear on any pair, the 365 day of wear thing,I get bored and need a change soon.
