Love the shirt. Might try as well.
One thing though is the length on these. I just don't get it. 2XLs are longer than IH SP-Large cpos.
I rock my sashiko townes just fine but man these are always loooong. I am a tall fella 190cm thats maybe 6'2 or 6'3 almost idk.
Perfect shirt length I have is a freenote XXL western which is 29.50.
Anyway enough about that, maybe it will shrink a bit and who cares anyway I guess.

Served as a very comfortable light jacket this AM.

@Northman yea, I looked at the length in that upcoming black denim and they’re 2 inches longer than similarly sized shirts from Iron Heart. It’s what they’re going for I guess.. You can shrink it or take it to a tailor I suppose. I shrunk mine, the arms are perfect now and the length is okay. ️

In a similar boat. Size up and shrink but probably won’t shrink enough in length and may need a tailor or get my size and still probably need a tailor but may not be able to shrink in fear of getting too small in arms and chest.

Or just save my money and admire the photos people post.

Option 2 for me. Buying something like this knowing I’m going to have to roll the dice shrinking, probably need to tailor regardless… That said, it’s going to be a stunner no doubt. ️

@Chibs do you remember approximately how much length and width you lost in the shrink process? i'm b/w an XL and XXL...still not sure if i'm going to go for this one.

@dugafola yes! It’s actually earlier in this thread with before and after photos but I have it in my notes for an eventual review so here you go:

Before wash
Chest - 21.7
Shoulders -18
Length 31.3
Arms 26.4

After hot wash and hot dry
Chest - 21.4
Shoulders - 17.8
Length 30
Arms - 25

As @Mizmazzle says I went “nuclear” for maximum shrink and certainly got it.

Still long compared to my other western shirts but not enough to warrant tailoring. Now that I’m used to it, I actually low key dig the length. The sleeves are perfect now too. Probably my favourite thing SJ makes.

Wearing it now despite the warmer weather. Awesome shirt!

Many sizes are still available..!!

Not common, 11 minutes in and sizes from XS all the way to XL are still available

I am really surprised by the availability still….

I think they have been dropping more stuff lately and maybe making more of it when they do. Regardless, I grabbed one and looking forward to it arriving!

Got a 2XL.

I think some people are just spending a little less right now. I don’t see nearly as many people I know trying to grab every release the way they used to with SJ and some of the other brands.

I’m still buying, but I approach it a little differently now. With a shirt like this, I’ll grab it, but I’ll also pull two or three things out of the closet to sell that I haven’t wore much in the last year.
