      I actually enjoyed the F1 movie. Yeah it was (almost) everything wrong with Hollywood, but I found it entertaining. If it were realistic it would have been about questionable FIA governance and bizarre race stewardship, but of course it was sponsored by them as an advertisement to expand their viewership and the casual fan doesn't go that deep. I thought RUSH was a much better F1 movie, which had it's own flaws, but I don't expect these people to make documentaries.

        Rush was good, as was Senna and Ford vs Ferrari.

        Mind, The Ballad of Ricky Bobby was the best doco style motor racing films.

          Speaking of racing movies. Has anyone else seen the comparison of The Fast and The Furious with Point Break?

          An undercover law enforcement officer infiltrates a tight-knit, adrenaline-junkie subculture. He befriends the charismatic leader of the group. He falls for a girl with a close relationship to the leader. The authorities close in during a final high-stakes heist, and at the end, the cop lets the criminal leader go and gives him the means to escape.

          Its the same movie, just surfboards or cars.

            @WhiskeySandwich haha - that's gold! I love that.

            Point Break did it better though 🙂

            Be interesting if they re-made Point Break with John Wick instead of Johnny Utah. I bet Wick could surf like a ninja.

              @Bridger I love both movies. Point Break is objectively better, agree, but I def have a soft spot for F&F.

                @WhiskeySandwich I enjoy the Furious films too.

                I am probably due a re-run of them all in sequence.

                  @Bridger I have a hard time with them after Tokyo Drift. But it would be good to revisit the series. I dont think i even finished it after Paul Walker passed away, RIP

                    @WhiskeySandwich I have a soft spot for Tokyo Drift. I was in Tokyo in March and our taxi got stopped in P1 on the Shibuya crossing, which was awesome and made me think of Tokyo Drift and Lost in Translation (and the opening scene 😉 )

                    RIP Paul Walker indeed.

                          What a wonderful film. Technically brilliant, wonderfully quirky storytelling—funny, affectionate, and a little sad. It transports you right back to 1980s Italy in the best possible way.
