@denami Same size as far as I can tell. I have one from each release.
-
@samo hmm, redcast and dant have large listed with a chest measure of 46.5” and 47.2”self edge for this run is listed 44.5”.
-
I find Self Edge to be an outlier on measurements. All I know is I have a size large from the original run and I bought a second from this run and they fit exactly the same. Could be I got lucky on that, I'm not sure.
-
@samo appreciate the feedback. My only other samurai piece is one of their flannels that is a medium and fits so this size chart threw me off.
-
@denami I can measure the large if you want. Just tell me what measurements you are looking for
-
@samo that will be awesome. Can you measure the chest, shoulder and center back length?
-
@denami mine is a size L:
Chest: 45”
Shoulder: 19.75” (straight across)
Length: 26.25 (from seam below hood to hem on the back) -
@Nobunaga just grabbed a XXL now too.
-
@samo thanks, slightly larger than what’s listed but I think both medium and large can work for me
-
If you don't mind my asking, what are your vitals such that you went with the XXL over the XL?
I'm definitely leaning XL, but you don't necessarily seem that much larger than me.

-
@Watty 24 chest and 20 shoulder. I prefer my hoodies to be reasonably roomy
-
I should also add that I managed to find the last one on special at a different online store. Their posted measurements were smaller than SE latest run too

Gave these a cold and hot soak to try to get all the shrinkage out of them. First thought love the fit n fabric! They do feel a little less hefty compared to my xhsib. Love the details throughout the jeans as well

These are 25oz?
-
@AskAxel can you explain further what you meant regarding how you sized these? You normally wear size 32 in Samurai or look for 32 inch waist measurement? I typically go size 34 in Iron Heart and Samurai, and look for 33.5 inch waists. The 25oz pair I have my eyes on have a 32.5 inch waist…
-
@Rustygate37 Ha! I had the Corlection in my cart, but didn't pull the trigger because I wasn't sure whether tariffs were going to put the cost above what SE would have charged...
-
@worn2fade yes they are! I seen u tried samurai with their wide cut? Were u able to get that fit dialed in
-
@warriors22 eh dialed in enough. The hot soak and hot wash improved them a bit but nothing too crazy. I linked a video of the before and after, scroll up a bit if you wanna see it. From reading others experiences with this specific model, they advised they typically sized down one size for a TTS fit (which surprised me cause the size chart didn’t suggest a 33 having TTS measurements for me,) so me sizing up to a 35 (when I typically wear 34,) was essentially sizing up 2 sizes.. not 1 like I intended. They don’t look bad but I’m not accustomed to so much extra fabric. We’ll see how I feel when I pick them up after IIY5.
Edit: Also, I heard samurai’s 25oz is magical. Enjoy bro!
-
@Watty yeah, they are the ones on sale that I grabbed. Turns out I had $50 credit sitting in my Corlection account and then I received an extra $25 voucher after the purchase. Bit of dumb luck for me on that one
-
@americanathreads Yeah my apologies, I meant I normally wear a 32" and buy close to that measurement accordingly. The 33 in the 25oz had the closest post wash measurements on denimio to what I like. I probably could have gone for a size 34 for more comfort out of the gate but I'm expecting these to stretch an inch.
As a side note, I've found self edge's measurements to be completely cooked for some reason compared to other sites like Denimio and Okayama denim.
