@Mizmazzle thanks man. i should really wear them more but they have their slot in the rotation. i've only rubbed them down with coconut oil and a venetian shoe cream a handful of times over the past 10 years or so. the leather is just so oily already....it's never ever been thirsty looking or feeling like CXL can get.

@will6er I size the same in both (1/2 down from Brannock), although this varies. I understand some folks prefer 2040 true to their Brannock size depending on your foot shape.

It took about a year to break these in to the point that I could hike more than 4-5 miles without getting hot spots. I was starting to think they might not be up to the task of true backpacking boots. This summer however, they have fully developed and have been nothing but rugged, supportive and comfortable. Just finished a five night backpacking trip. 14 miles out from camp in one day with a full pack and they were on point!

@Mizmazzle 14 mile trek is pretty bad ass. Boots look outstanding/those subtle rolls are starting to patina nicely… and a great pairing w the Pisgah
