@Mizmazzle Something like that, but a little smaller and not as mangled
It works well with a gentle touch in spot areas, but I wouldn’t use it on the whole boot by any means. I used it on the toe area once a couple of months after I bought the boots. Since then I have left them natural with a couple of brushing when needed. I was a bit more anal when I first got them, now I embrace the patina.Edit: Looking closer at you pictures again, I would be hesitant to use the wire brush as I was thinking it was a straight rough out leather. Kinda skipped over the part where you mentioned waxy

@Denman-John haha. That brush has been used and abused!
I think I’m just gonna let em get beat down au natural too. Wet cloth wipe down and a dry horse hair brushing seems to work well. Maybe I’ll try some
Sort of rough out conditioner one day. For now…full bore assault!! -
@SonnyTheElder What leather are the second pair ?
-
@jfive67 Black shell cordovan that's fading to red on one boot, and green on the other.

Wearing the original 3Sixteen olive chromepak in 2030

@Mizmazzle thanks man. i should really wear them more but they have their slot in the rotation. i've only rubbed them down with coconut oil and a venetian shoe cream a handful of times over the past 10 years or so. the leather is just so oily already....it's never ever been thirsty looking or feeling like CXL can get.
