@adamj No worries! I knew the 729-P's were an unlikely find. I was shocked to see them and even more shocked to see a pair in my size.

Since I'm usually not this lucky, is there a post in the forums where releases like this are announced?

@whacim when we restock a significant run, we announce it in the relevant product thread. As this was a one off pair we just put them online as usual

@Giles Thank you! The back in stock form is a fantastic feature that I use frequently. I didn't think to use it for an item I thought long extinct, but will be less restrained going forward.

Yeah, sometimes we get a late return from a customer, or a retailer sends back some items they are having trouble selling, or Japan has had trouble selling something after we have extincted the product. It's a long shot, but no harm in trying....

I'm 36-36.5 waist. Would XL work? I know they're elastic but seems a stretch.... I'm sorry

@CosmoSix5 yes, i'm pretty sure that will work. i have about the same waist and i'm wearing the khaki ones in XL comfortably.

For you guys that have these what would you rate the strength of the elastic? Like is the elastic doing more of the waist work or is the drawstring? I have a 35” waist and a large should work I just don’t like elastic “digging” into my waist.

@SKT the elastic will loose it's elasticity (is that the word i'm looking for?). i just measured mine, there's not much stretchiness left in them, and they sit at around 37".

So the waist on XL sits at 34". Is this expected to stretch out to a larger dimension? Whats the range in the waist? I am also a 36.5" waist. Was really hoping to grab a pair of these.

Yeah also a little bit curious about what size to order, 36 waist in jeans, id guess XL, but i also dont have huge thighs so would prefer L for the other measurements, just not sure if theyd stretch enough

I just compared the XL measurements of the olive ones to my 38 double front shorts and they seem very similar except for the waist and I imagine that a elastic waist will stretch enough and if it stretches too much then that's why you have the drawstring.
