IHSB-BIGBUCK-NAT - Deerskin Western Shirt 'The Big Buck' - Natural
-
@nixage arguably worse / more noticeable

-
@blue2gnt while I see why you don't want to keep a shirt that maybe should not even have passed qc, I don't get how this "ends" your experience with IH? Maybe I am reading it wrong but IMO that's just the gamble with hand made products. Is it cool that this happens? No! But it's sure not a dealbreaker that speaks for the whole IH brand.
-
@FlavourFade It doesn't end my experience with IH, not at all. Just ended the honeymoon.
-
Life happens... and they'll make you whole for it. That's what matters.
-
So I decided to check how obsessive I was being on this and took the photos to my wife - ostensibly a neutral party (largely because she has no concept whatsoever of how expensive it is) and said "hey do you notice anything weird about this shirt?"
She said no. I said look again. She spent another 30 seconds looking at it. Other than a few "Do you really need more Iron Heart shirts" she didn't find anything unusual about it.
I then said 'look at where the pockets are lined up', and she immediately said "oh yeah, now I see"
To me, this means it passes the "does this look fucked up" at first glance test, which is enough to convince me not to cancel my order after all. I know this is always going to bother me, and this particular piece probably should have been sold as an irregular with some sort of a discount, but what would bother me more is never getting one of these shirts at all, given how limited they are.
These deer did not die in vain.

Buck and the Extractor look like they are going to go well together.

-
@blue2gnt Oooff. Yeah. Dang that sucks. But don't lose faith in IH. Like I said before. The Japanese stuff is just next level.
-
@blue2gnt I'd ask IH for a discount. IH has been great to me over the years and they always take care of their customers. Doesn't hurt asking.
-
@blue2gnt not ideal, but I’ve got this in olive and there’s a discrepancy in pocket spacing. Due to my personal preference, I only wear it unsnapped and there’s not even a hint of pocket spacing discrepancy when it’s unsnapped. It’s a compliment magnet and I expect this natural version will be as well.

Picked up a black from the last drop. Absolutely love the feel and fit.
When these dropped, I told myself "just don't buy one....they'll sell out quickly and then the option will be gone" so thats what I did. Then they sold out...besides, I really didnt want to spend another $1500, so I got what I was hoping for.
Then I happened to notice today it didnt say "sold out"....someone must have returned one and it was in my size, because there it was...staring me in the face. I bought it....and I can't wait till it shows up. -
@Animal-Chin Was it XXL? I canceled my order. Have too much stuff right now.
-
@blue2gnt I just got mine today and mine has the same issue. Did you reach out to them.

Yes I did - I haven't received mine yet though
-
Now y'all got me sweatin' my mail tomorrow...
-
@blue2gnt so they let you know before they sent it. To inquire weither you still wanted it? I re read your post I missed that part....
-
Ouch !! Hopefully Iron Heart improves the quality control
are you keeping it? -
Due to the length of time these took to arrive, and the fact we received most of them a couple of hours pre launch, we decided to reach out to every customer who hadnt had a big buck before, with a description and pictures of anything we thought may be an issue. If anyone has any issues at all, or was not reached out to, please send me an email - Adam.crawshaw@ironheart.co.uk or a forum DM

Respectfully, given the price point of these shirts and the brands reputation for quality/attention to detail, these asymmetric pockets are unforgivable imo.
I can understand how inconsistencies in the hides/scarring could be spun as a unique quirk of the product, but this is clearly a construction error that appears to be consistent across the entire batch (it's even off in the product photo which was probably the best of the bunch).
I hope this gets taken as constructive criticism that it is intended to be.
