These feel great! They were nice and snug at the waist after a hot soak, warm gentle wash and a hang dry. Wore them without a belt for a day and they molded perfectly. These are easily my best fitting pair of denim and I only see them getting better.

Texture-wise, post-wash, these are still fairly smooth (like most IH denim), but there is an undercurrent that is almost pebbly. A little more texture than you might expect. Maybe just that the fibers are so shocked after their first dance with H2O. The hairiness is well documented and not overstated in the literature. Shine a flashlight on it if you want to feel like denim Chewbacca. There’s some interesting use of orange and yellow constructional threads that feels unique in the portfolio. I’m a little nervous about future leg twist but telling myself to embrace wabi sabi.

Just arrived. Oh how I've forgotten what fresh heavyweight denim feels like! It was a struggle to quickly try them on.

Looks good, feels like fresh heavyweight denim should, waist is pretty much on point. Now into storage they go for now!

Mine are still hang drying, but when I tried them on I didn't feel like the buttons were as tough as the XHS pairs I have. I could be getting better at finessing them too. Lol

Those look perfect to me(hope mine look that good) I wear mostly 666, incorporating some 634. this one hopefully should show up today. It was delayed in Kentucky for a week, probably sitting next to @atlasfields pair…

Of course this is just my preference in the silhouette and how I like jeans to look on me, but I get a lot of comments that my 666s in person look more like a 634. It’s probably not just the cut of the denim, but also my size and build. Either way these are my two favorite cuts.

Warm to hot soak now, drying in the sun. Skipping the machine wash for now, just want to see how they fit/feel after this. If they still need it, I’ll probably run them through a wash after another soak.

I love this part in the thread where, after they've dropped and everyone's receiving their jeans and posting washes/fit pics, it's exciting and the start of a new jean-journey! It's bittersweet though as these probably wont be released again...
