@ShopatIronHeart how concerned should I be about this:

Have this on both sides but left is worse. I am only about 75 wears into the jeans but mostly cuff them.
-
@FlavourFade easy repair when needed.
-
@FlavourFade yeah I can get this sorted for you mate be an easy quick fix, better to get this sorted sooner rather than later, If you pop me an email I can talk you through getting the jeans repaired.
-
@FlavourFade This happens to me with every pair of jeans no matter what.
-
@Northman same for me but only with the heavier denim
-
@JoshC thanks my man, will do so!!

Hi there, i have some questions for people who have had a pair for a long time with continuous washing.
I wanted to wear my pair with a single cuff so I hemmed them accounting with 1' in shrinkage. When they arrived I soaked / washed at 40 and they are currently sitting perfectly. I thought about only cold soaking them to avoid any incremental shrinking, but have you experience some additional shrinking beyond 1 inch with machine washes at 30 and no RPM ?
I also read on Reddit you can pull the denim by the leg while damp to stretch it back?

Thanks,
-
@tvaillant75 Hey man, I have not taken measurements before and after but they did shrink a bit with my first and a little more with the second wash, but not a lot. Washed them once when new, lost an inch. cold after a soak, no spin. and then at about 70 wears same procedure. They May have lost another 0.25-0.5 inches with the second wash.

How bad do we think it’ll be on the emerging fades if I hot soak these and dry them to get some posible shrinkage out? Probably have 20 wears on them @Mizmazzle @Oaktavia
-
@GoodtimeJohnny Hot soaking won't be bad at all on the fades but drying them in a dryer might produce some unwanted fades.
-
Yup! I was going to say a hot soak/ wash wont do much as far as fading the color...especially at this new stage they are in. If that doesn't get the shrink you want, throwing them in the dryer might help. but like Stevie said, could open you up to some odd lines and fade artifacts.
-
Yeah the marbling is what I’m afraid of haha. Hot soak and sun time it is then, thanks for making up my mind fellas!
-
@GoodtimeJohnny a hot soak with agitation by hand will help the denim shrink as well.
-
@Oaktavia I think today is a good day to soak some stuff, I need about 1" to shrink or so but a lil less the first time won't hurt
-
@GoodtimeJohnny hot sunny days are ideal. Its frickin 88F and sunny outside here today which is perfect for quickly drying wet denim.
-
@Oaktavia same here, got hot quick
-
@GoodtimeJohnny I got 1.25" of leg length shrink on my initial warm wash (before wearing) Nor sure if you did an initial or just started wearing straight away...
-
@Mizmazzle I grabbed them off of the Bay so all I know is they were hemmed at ISP but he never responded to wether they were washed or soaked but I'm assuming not because they were still uber stiff
.

@GoodtimeJohnny I gave mine their first water recently, and they were back to being absolute bloody cardboard again afterwards. So maybe they were washed before selling. Who knows. Anyways; hope you get the shrink you're after!
