This really throws a wrench in things with IH also releasing so many beautiful, textured, non-denim indigo shirts this season.

There’s notes on the new preorder page how the black and new indigo will be different from the original in terms of shrinkage so I’d probably stick closer to the measurement guide. I MIGHT try to preorder a 2xl to have a fresh one and to see how it fits. I coincidentally just took some 1 year of owning pics the other day and it’s awesome how light it’s gotten.

Question for you guys that have experience with it— is this shirt breathable at all? Like would I absolutely hate myself wearing this shirt everyday in FL?

@worn2fade well itll definitely fade faster i imagine, but it is on the unbreathable side

@worn2fade I would consider it as breathable as a medium to heavy weight denim shirt. I live in the PNW and I don’t think I will be wear this in the summer.

@uclabruin unusually wear xxl in US brands. I can wear some XL. Ironheart I wear 4xl

Do you guys go for the same size as your IH for the Sashiko Townes? I'm an XL in the IH Western Kersey. thx.

@nixage best advice you can get is too look at measurements not at tag sizes. Some IH items I am an XXL some I am 3XL. My denim townes in 2XL is quite relaxed so looking at the size chart I will try to get an XL and only wash cold when needed

@hgering27 Wow, yours is really nicely worn! Felt inspired me to break mine out today after seeing yours and leaned into the SJ theme.
@worn2fade I agree with the other folks in that it's not super breathable. I thought because of the weave it would be but unfortunately not, limiting how often I can wear it.

I've got a pair of heavy-ish sashiko sweat pants that I can only wear in winter. I would assume the shirt would be similar

For reference, I usually wear a XXXL or XXXXL in Iron Heart. In the Sashiko I went with a XXL because I prefer a more tailored look/fit. I also never plan on wearing another shirt, even a T-shirt, underneath if I can help it.
It really just depends on how you like to wear your clothing. For me the most important measurement is pit to pit. If that fits right, I can usually make everything else work.
