IH-888-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Ind/blk

@mikemakuch71 I have longed for an 888 xhs ib contrast, maybe someday.
The 888 21oz ib’s were contrast, however, it doesn’t look like they are coming back. -
Make sure you can sign into the website and have credit card ready! I’m ready for the first 25 oz.

I’m hoping these measurements will work for me. I need a minimum inseam of 36” after washing. I understand the care guidelines specify approximately 1 inch of shrinkage in the inseam. However, I understand shrinkage is dependent on total inseam length, so I’m wondering if anyone can shed light on what I can expect on a 37” inseam after all shrinkage is accounted for? I have several pairs of jeans that are too short after their first wash or two, and I don’t want to go through that heartache again.

Based on my experience, after a soak and a wash on my XHS (not IB,) they only shrunk 1”.
I got mine hemmed to 34.5, after the initial soak they sat at 33.5” and after my first wash a couple days ago it stayed the same.
But based on @CosmoSix5 comment on his ib’s (triple 6,) he lost more than 1” in inseam if I’m not mistaken after his initial soak + wash.

@worn2fade I appreciate the info. I’m hoping that IH has an extra-long pair on the shelves, fingers crossed. @CosmoSix5 Can you share your experience with this fabric?
-
@Conan looks like he lost 1.25”
Just to make sure I was telling you accurate info, I remeasured. Turns out, I also lost an additional .15”
I’d say to play it safe, assume you’d lose up to 1.25-1.5”

Maybe @Oaktavia can provide more insight since he has multiple washes on his pair?

IMHO the total tonal stitching would look the best with all indigo/black denim. It makes the product look less casual and stand out even more than it does with contrast one. I like it on my 14oz ib and 14oz ii jeans as well as on my 14oz ib jacket. But it is what it is, therefore take it or leave it. I would also very much appreciate if 21oz ib and 19oz ib come back into the game.

@Conan @worn2fade I didn't and don't usually pay much attention to inseam length and don't take pre & post soak measurements. Even if you lose 1.25" from 37", would that be too short? How long are your legs?!
-
@Oaktavia either he likes a serious double cuff or he’s 7’ tall
-
@Conan I did a warm soak on mine. About 40 minutes and wore them till about 90%+ dry. (Way more fun in the summer!) Waist shrank an inch+ but is back to normal if not slightly bigger. The pre hem length was about 35.75(37 pre soak) now they're hemmed to 34".

-
@Oaktavia it varies between torso length and legs, but I'm 6'5' and only need a 34" inseam. 33.5 in a few pair. Definitely plenty of length until 6'8+ but then NBA money will get you a custom pair
