      @worn2fade I'm laughing but I've definitely left early for some IH drops... (although I'm lucky releases are at 4pm UK time haha)

        I will mostlikely stick to the same size as with my IH-888S-21od, but checking the measurements up on release is always a good thing. Since I lost some weight I‘m always tempted to size one size down 🤔

          Hem first or after the initial soak? This will be my first 25oz.

            I had them hem my 666 i got about a month ago before shipping. Left about an inch to .5 of an inch of what I normally go for to account for shrinkage. Worked out fine.

              I would even let one full inch to account for shrinkage and repeated washing.

                With my 25oz (non-ib) I knew I wanted the jeans to be 33.5” so I ordered them at 34.5” to accommodate the 1” shrinkage. Worked out perfect.

                  OD technically runs small due to the over dyeing process so I’m sure you can size down one from your OD size and be perfectly fine. Like you mentioned, just compare measurements.

                  All I know is if I were to get a 21oz OD I’d wear a 35 and based on the old IB measurements, I’d stick with my normal 34.

                    @worn2fade looks like we are after the same size mate 😉 I love the comparison tool on the IH website, super handy for cases like this. If I check the W43 on the 21oz OD and compare it to the XHSib I most likely stick to W34 and let it shrink. Taking into account double-checking measurements once available to be sure there are no surprises.

                        @Indigo-Alchemist Be very careful with your train of thought as:

                        Stretch Details

                        • Post-soak or wash, the waist will stretch out approximately 1" with wear. All other dimensions that are put under pressure will have a tendency to stretch back to pre-soak/wash size

                        So if your ideal pant is 34” and you buy 35” (hoping to shrink them), then you will end up with a pair that are oversized in the long run.

                        The thing I do (not everyone will agree) is to buy the posted measurement that is closer to my ideal measurement. On that first wash, they will be tight, but stretch back out with wear.

                          @goosehd thanks for your advice!
                          In this case, I need to size down to W33 for the XHSib compared to the W34 I´m wearing on my IH-888S-21od, am I right? I wear those 21oz quite comfortably right now, which should help when these are tight after soak/wash. But as usual, I will check the measurements once they are posted here, as it could be very different for this run. Thanks for letting me know if I´m on the right path to my first 25oz pants 😉

                            @Indigo-Alchemist not quite. Please watch this video and measure your jeans exactly as shown: https://forum.ironheart.co.uk/topic/5619/video-how-to-measure-jeans-and-pants-the-iron-heart-method

                            Write down those measurements and then compare those to the posted measurements (when released) of the jeans you want to buy.

                            If your current pair measure 34.1 inches, then you want to find a posted measurement as close to that ideal as possible. When you wash them the first time, you will get shrinkage in the waist, but will with time stretch them back out to the ideal (possibly beyond).

                            Edit: What I’m trying to stress is that you need to measure your current favourite pair as they too may have stretched over time.
