IHSH-409-IB - 19oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo/Black
-
@Larkens Thanks for the link and info. Really hope I'm able to snag one with this next drop!
-
@kojimastreets I'd go for it
Love it! Here's a crapy pic of mine today:
-
I stupidly passed on this when it was first released. Not gonna make that mistake again. I just hope I'm able to grab one of these when they re-stock in April.
-
I can’t remember if I already asked, and this thread is miles long, but am I correct that there will be availability with stockists, as well? Or is this an IHUK exclusive?
-
@MSav32323 I believe they said it would be available at stock lists.
-
@MSav32323 at least IH Germany had them last time

@kojimastreets if I got it right (otherwise I’m sure someone else will chime in with the correct or whole story) there was only fabric for the first run, a one off run. It sold out quick, as you can imagine.
But later there was some more fabric discovered, in some corner, somewhere, haha. That’s used for this upcoming restock.
And if my memory serves me right the 409 was never to be, the fabric was meant for jeans. A collab. But that fell through, giving us the wonderful CPO.
Dude this part
“But later there was some more fabric discovered, in some corner, somewhere, haha. That’s used for this upcoming restock.”
Really makes me want to get this CPO all the more lol. I love crazy stories like that. Is it 100% factual?

Good news - we found more of this fabric to use up that we thought there was...
@worn2fade can go down from here!
-
@worn2fade haha. I hope so, otherwise it’s a nice story my brain made up. Happy to see some confirmation from @Ikeaparty - and maybe others can chime in. Either way, the 409 is an amazing piece. And has a nice story. Did you know it didn’t start out as the 409 at all? 396 if I remember that correctly

Just wanted to share some fun close-up shots I took the other day.
-
Thanks for the reminder that I absolutely need this shirt!
-
maybe a dumb question. i know way back this shirt had chain stitch run off and selvedge gusset's. any chance this restock has these features back ??
-
@mikemakuch71 that was true for the sample, but removed from the production run. i would guess that it has not been changed back, but maybe @ShopatIronHeart can confirm
-
@mikemakuch71 unlikely as we did not spec any changes but won't be able to confirm 100% until the restock lands
-
I'd consider the chainstitch runoff a plausible reason (looking for an excuse) for getting a fresh and new copy
haha. -
Forgive the question if it’s dumb lol, just not sure exactly how this works.
Curious to know if this new release of the 409ib would be cut similar to the 293-OD that released this previous year?
Not sure if you guys use specific folks who make your denim CPO’s and if we should expect for them to be cut the same?
Question may be silly, I just don’t dig how snug the pits were cut for the 293 and wanted to know in advance (if possible,) if I should expect the same thing on the 409ib.
-
@worn2fade Sizing varies between each run so always check the measurements. The OD is different because the dyeing shrinks the denim a lot. I went one size larger in the 293-OD than my usual IH CPO size to compensate. So I wouldn't expect the same issues with the 409-IB since it is not overdyed.
-
@worn2fade I don't think there's one pattern for all cpo shirts. My 422 for example fits different to the 293 I had and the 409 I tried on. All the same size if I remember correctly. The fabric also makes the cuts different for some reason I don't know. Maybe because they use other machines for hefty fabrics like duck or the 19oz ib
-
@Nobunaga for sure it’s just the specific measurement I’m talking about (armpit) is not one that they put on their size charts and sometimes they don’t have the product in hand to measure it right before the release.
I’ll hit them up to see if they have some in hand a few days prior to drop and try to get that armpit measurement.
