@Oaktavia i heard stories that the spring on the clasp breaks after a while, has anyone experienced that yet?

That’s why you oil it.

Any recommendations?
Use this couple drops in clasp.

@Kasi how often would u say to oil them? and would you do the same to curb chain and clip8s? my curb chain is 24inch so i dont actually need to use the clasp that often as i can just take it on and off over my head

Oil can dry up. That’s why. Keep on top of it.
Try it will become smoother -
@Kasi thanks for the tip man I threw some tri-flow on my clip 8, spring ring, model 10.... butter

@jdwaid I'm glad I'm not the only one this is happened to even though the consensus from the replies is it should take a long time to tarnish/oxidize like this. I also don't live next to the ocean. My first Good Art purchase was a poplock necklace and I wear that every day for 2 months now and still looks shiny and new.
@Go-For-Chill I like the shiny look of it, and was pretty surprised how dark it got just sitting in the bag after a week. I guess I'll have to polish it to keep it looking new. Is there a specific polishing cloth you recommend to keep it shiny? Also is there any concern in having to continuously polish it to keep it new looking? I'm new to jewelry in general and haven't really worn any except for the poplock necklace I bought.
@Anesthetist I bought this from Nordstrom. Pretty surprised I found one there in my size.
