So, I did a non-detergent cold wash of the jacket.
I noticed several things after it dried:- It is no longer tight under the arms
- it's more comfortable everywhere
- the white weft fibers show through more here and there
- the denim is slightly hairy
- 1 or 2 of these aqua dots popped up

Has anybody had their jacket long enough to get some nice fading?
I've worn mine everyday for a month; nothing yet. -
@OneEyeMan if you have a scroll back through this thread there’s a couple which are faded to perfection
-
@freepickin I’m glad you bought it, I almost bought it back

You wear it well!

I have a 534 that has a similar lining & quilted sleeves with blanket torso. I find that when I get sweaty on walks, particularly in the arms, it feels a bit swampy. Meaning, I seems to me the quilted lining feels like it should be washed more than an unlined denim jacket or shirt because the material doesn't absorb moisture. So my question is, do y'all Stormrider folk tend to observe this as well and in turn, wash the jackets more frequently? I plan to do this with mine. I just like to hear about what others are experiencing with a similar jacket. Any input would be wonderful. Hope y'all are having an alright day.

@Oaktavia does it smell? I feel like the antimicrobial aspects of wool make it able to go longer without stinking. At least for me. But I just looked at the description and it says "55% Wool, 30% Poly, 10% Rayon, 3% Nylon, 2% Acrylic" soooo I dunno how much that theory holds water. Or in this case, sweat.
I can't offer much in terms of relatability, I wear mine a lot, but am able to layer underneath it so not much of that stank has permeated through yet. But I'm sure whatever you do will look kickass so I support your thoughts on washing more!

@freepickin nah it didn't smell and had just 13 wears before I washed it last night. I think the idea of sweat slicking and then drying onto the sleeves is what drove me to wash it. I'm not concerned about the blanket lined torso. This is what happens when I wear things for 12-14 hours straight. I'm not worried about this at all, and plan to wash it often if I need to.
