@Chavi_LDV In my opinion, 634’s are the better pick of the two.

I want a IH hoodie but I'm conflicted between the zipper and regular one. Someone help me lol. I'll wear it mostly for layering but also alone casually as well.

@Chavi_LDV both cuts work great with engineers. 888s will be a bit slimmer but still fit wonderfully over an engineer. The 634 also works perfectly. More a straight leg so a bit wider. All up to you how you like your jeans to fit.

On me the 634s have a low rise, lower than 888.
            Im6”2 190 and while I wear both styles I prefer the 888.
So if that doesn’t confuse you enough someone else will chime in to obscure the matter further.
Go by actual measurements and you won’t go wrong with IH.

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them…
            Well, I have others.

@goosehd I once owned an IH zip up and sold it because I MIs sized it. But it was awesome. I'm thinking zip is more versatile also.

@ShopatIronHeart there seems to be a new 21oz light black (634S-BK) denim in Japan, any chance you're going to carry it?

Are these coming to the UK/US ?

Introducing our new jeans! They're the classic 634 style, made with 21oz black selvedge denim, which I don't think we've ever made before! The warp threads are sulfur-dyed black, and the weft threads are off-white, so you can see they're not completely black by looking at the back! The sulfurization process fades the color in the same way as indigo, so whiskers and wrinkles show up perfectly! There have always been quite a few people who love black denim jeans that slowly fade to gray with wear. If I had to say, they're the same as the old Levi's black denim jeans... They just arrived, so they'll be in stores from tomorrow onwards, so please give them a try. I'll definitely buy them! I've always loved the grayish fade.

I specified that denim about 10 years ago. And we made the below out of it.

They sold really badly. Probably because I blacked them out. @Alex and I have been thinking of what to do with the rest of the denim ever since. I guess Harakai got bored of waiting 🙂

@Giles Will these be available to purchase?

We've decided to sell the leather slippers that were so popular at Wedge Leathers' workshops in irons. The slippers we're selling are a simple version without studs. They'll be available in stores and online at the end of January, so if you're someone who wanted them but couldn't bring yourself to wear them to Tokyo, please wait a little longer. We'll update the sizes and prices on Vostok before the sale begins, so please check. By the way, these aren't sandals; they're just slippers without heels, so please don't tell us that your feet hurt when you walk around town.

I wonder if anyone could help explain some laundry-related strangeness.

I accidentally tumble dried a Merz long sleeved tee which has suffered from significant sleeve twist for some time. No amount or reshaping while damp could fix this but the accidental drying has reset the arms to factory settings. How does this work?

@ARNC My understanding is that the fabric mill needed to adjust for torquing in the knitting process, if requested by the customer. However, that is only something that they would know if R&D had been done thoroughly. Some folks just get their sample yardage, make a garment, and proceed without any testing though…

This may be a question for @Alex or anyone who studies Japanese…

I’ve been trading cards with a friend online and I looked up their name とりとり - which is ToriTori… Wikipedia says Tori is bird. Together it’s friend chicken on a stick? Haha just wanted to see if this is true because if it is… it’s such a good Pokémon joke

Slowpoke tails are eaten by humans inside the game bc they can’t feel when they fall off… if so.. slowpoke tails on a stick 😂

I've not heard toritori used to describe food - yakitori is grilled (chicken) meat on a stick, kushiyaki being a more accurate word for grilled (any)meat on a stick. However, yakitori restaurants do sometimes cook non-chicken. Hard to say for sure, 鳥捕り which is spelt out as とりとり in hiragana means bird catcher, but i think slowpokes eat fish, so the mystery remains until a better Japanese speaker reads this..
