IHM-35-KHA - Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Khaki
-
If I'm a small in iron heart shirts such as IHSH33, and a very snug small in IHSH 293 OD, should I go small N1 or medium N1? The small chest at 22ish and medium chest at 23 ish look roomy, but this could be the interlining? Thanks

I bought the Lightweight N1 in medium and considered swapping it for a large… but of course that’s just not possible as they sell out so quickly… I decided to keep the Lightweight and get more use in spring and Autumn here in Copenhagen.
I am going to my local shop on Tuesday to try the Khaki N1, looking at the sizing of the lightweight vs the standard shows that the large is probably my best bet, but who knows… the arm length of each is quite different on each version..

@goosehd
Updated with another shirt and the 526.Kinda realize that maybe I could have done XXXL in the 526. Still love the fit but will never be able to wash it

Anyways, still seems like XXL for the deck jacket.

@yoojimbo my money is on the XXL, think you will love it. nothing really compares to an IH N-1 deck jacket, enjoy!

These landed on our first cold day of the year, perfect timing.

Still available for those who missed out!

The chest size for XL is too big comparing to the shoulders size

Hey guys, new here. I am looking to grab an N1. I’m unsure if I should go with this model or an oiled version. Any experience with having both? Pros/cons? My primary concern about oiled or waxed jackets is the potential transfer of oil onto other fabrics. Is that a worry with the IH oiled N1?
-
@IHDoc I own an oiled vs regular N1. Oiled feels heavier (I believe it goes up to 14oz in oiled version from 12oz).
Zero issues with oil transfer. Doesn’t feel oily either. I’m happy with both versions.

Picked up mine from Franklin & Poe today. Thankfully they had a few sizes. I normally take a XXL in shirts but sometimes an XL for boxy cuts (like mechanics shirts). I tried the L and XL. The sleeves were perfect in the L but gave me little wiggle room for anything beyond a thin shirt. So I went with the XL. Everything is great, fits well with a flannel or a T. Sleeves are longer but the storm cuffs and additional button really make it comfortable regardless. The fabric is interesting as in different lights it can look like there are stains but it's just some variation in how the light plays off of the fabric mixed with some slight variation in texture. I love it and will be with me for a long time.

@goosehd thanks! I'm always a bit paranoid about sizing so I held out to be able to try it on before they sold out.
