@ZackB I woke up to our barking dog at 2am (est) and checked the score on my APP, couldn’t believe it was still going on …
I can’t wait to see Ohtani pitch tonight. Fingers crossed the Jays can bounce back.

GUTTED

Heartbreaker. Up until 3am and up for for work at 5am. I would be feeling no pain if Jays would have won! They had loads of chances to get it done. Great back and forth. Wild game.
-
Some game, can only imagine what the tension must have been like to be there. Great series so far.
-
This is nuts. I can’t believe the Jays might actually win the World Series!
-
A World Series record for the young rookie Yesavage! Go Jays Go!!
-
Imagine inside Blake Snell's mind after those first few pitches last night. Wow lol.
-
@derek111 you’re absolutely right … he’s a great pitcher. Luckily Gausman is no slouch. Should be a dandy!
-
@dwaynelum LOL, for sure!
-
At least we have two chances now in Toronto. Yamamoto Is going to be tough but any team can win on any given day.
-
Game 7 baby! What are y'all predictions? I feel like the win could go to either team.
-
@jdwaid i want the jays to win but I’m stressed about it! Either way I’ll be at the bar with some friends drinking beer. Win or lose we hit the booze!
-
Crazy world series. I wasn't invested in either team winning so I can only imagine how stressful it was for Dodger or Blue Jays fans.
99 days until spring training

I was never into baseball. but seeing all the tiktoks and reels of Shohei Otani just makes me impressed. what a guy..
the last one I saw was when they doubted that he couldn't do the 50-50

I am a casual follower of baseball from Scotland. Question for the hardcore, at the end of Game 7, should Isiah Kiner-Falefa have run through the base as opposed to his slide?
What's the accepted logic? Slide every time at home? People run though 1st, why slide at home? etc.
Classic series though. -
@Stringthing75 sliding can give the runner a bit of a lunge forward advantage to beating the throw if it a forced out. But if a tag is required for the out, a slide gives even greater advantage to the defensive player missing the tag if the slide can squeeze past or under the tag.
Furthermore, if it’s a tagged out a runner can run right into the defensive player making the tag and try and knock the ball loose so that the defensive player drops the ball and create a positive play for the runner.
-
@Mizmazzle right, makes sense. I remember Buster Posey taking a major injury years ago with a home plate collision. Guess that's a similar thing, trying to force it loose?
Brutal anyhow. But last night seemed to me to be a classic game. For hardcore fans of either of those teams, it must have been a true nail biter.
