@ShopatIronHeart Hello to the stubborn crew 🙂

I know you probably still only have the sample of this one, but I had a couple of questions you could maybe answer:

        • If you tested it, what can men expect of the Ventile lining ? Will I stay dry under a light/medium rain (except for cuffs/collar that would get pretty wet I suppose)

        • In terms of warmth, how would you rate this ? Let's say against IH-101J-SR, but if you have a better comparison, shoot.

        Thx !

@Slash Thanks for getting in touch,

The ventile lining certainly isnt waterproof but will keep you dry if you get caught in a drizzle.

Warmth wise I wouldn't compare it to a storm rider but more like a lightweight IHM-27.

          I hope this helps!

I guess the main difference to what someone might call a bomber is that a tanker has the collar that zips all the way up?
I like that because it makes the piece more versatile since it might provide a little more wind protection. However since it is a lightweight jacket I wonder how thin the ribbed collar is.
The pockets look great. Reminds me of Freenote Mariner jackets.
Have to wait and see. Could be quite versatile if you have room to layer and if its not too short.

@Northman Yes, I like the collar too, especially in the fall when it's cool in the morning. You can zip it up to protect your neck. Tanker and bomber jackets are simply cool, especially since they're short, allowing you to show off your jeans. A T-shirt or sweatshirt underneath and you look perfect.

Looking forward to the measurements dropping on these. I remember Alex mentioning in the FW25 drop video that they would be looking into increasing the length a little bit.
I mean ofc its meant to be a short jacket but it would be awesome as long as it's not uber short.

@Northman I learned the hard way the body length matters more than just aesthetically for me. Not an expensive lesson thanks to eBay. I got the duck flight jacket(fw24) there in XXL. I really had to strain in order to get my hands in the hand warmer pockets. It was physically uncomfortable 😆. I've set a very inflexible body length limit of 27" minimum for anything with hand warmer pockets 😂

If the length is going to be the same as it is now on the Japanese online store then I should be okay.

@Northman I too am hopeful after browsing over to IHJ. Thanks for the idea. May have to size up one to get the length but that's not a deal breaker for cold weather piece.

@Buckeye Hi! The general consensus from trying this on, is that we are taking our usual "IHM" sizing, in that I typically take one size down from my usual UHF/Type III sizing.

Due to the cuffing/ribbing on the opening and wrists, you may be able to take your usual jacket sizing dependant on how you intend to layer.

And what did you thought about the sleeve length ? Following my measures I should take a "S", but the sleeves would be too short then I think 😕

I can report the sleeve length was absolutely fine and not too short or long in my experience, however I can appreciate we are all built differently 🙂 I will grab a photo of the zip closed at the neck for reference once we are back in the office on Monday!
