IHM-47-NAV - 12oz Whipcord Tanker Jacket - Navy

Inspired by the jackets issued to US servicemen in the 1940s, our fall/winter ’25 tanker jacket is designed to offer authentic military style for year-round layering. Unlike many of our “jungle cloth” fabrics, this 12oz whipcord is woven using sulphur-dyed yarns, meaning that over time, the jacket will fade and wear with vintage charm to complement the WWII-era cut. Of course, as with all our military jackets, this isn’t a strict reproduction piece, and we’ve given the classic design a typical Iron Heart overhaul.

Along with the tough whipcord outer shell, we’ve added a weather-resistant Japanese Ventile lining for a layer of protection against wind and rain, while remaining lightweight and highly breathable. Further upgrades include a two-way main zipper, an internal wind-blocking placket, and a hybrid knit hem and cuffs. This intricate hybrid knit technique allows the cuffs and hem to naturally fold, achieving the optimum fit while maintaining a windproof seal. Finished with external handwarmer patch pockets and a snap-fastening internal pocket for secure storage of a phone or wallet.

this is me wearing the 2XL, just have a Tee underneath, and this is how I would wear it personally. I can take a pic of me wearing the 3XL if people need me to as well, as that works just more room for layering if I wanted to wear a hoodie and use it as a layering piece.

In these pictures, I'm wearing size L because those were the samples. The jackets in production were made a little longer, which is great. I'm still undecided whether to go for Large or X-Large. I like to wear a hoodie under jackets like these and prefer a looser fit, so I'll probably go for XL.

I think I'll go for classic navy. I like the combination of washed-out black denim and Navy but it looks also great with indigo jeans. Great jacket!
And don't be surprised, the jacket in this photo was the sample. The photos of the guys in Gosport show the correct length. And, of course, the measurements from above.
