Red Wing Shoes
-
these 2966s have been re-released!

-
@indigostiff I got a pair two weeks ago on release day. They've been on my radar for years. I love them, even though they're really hard to break (much less so than the 9268s, though).

-
Found a vintage hat with a couple of cool red wing graphics on it

-
Chocolate Mules

@JunkPants They look great as well.
-
@JunkPants wow dang, what model is that
Edit: these?
-
@Denimhead-0 man those look good.
@JunkPants idk if its just me, but the pics didn't come thru
-
@Oaktavia That's the one. Stitching is all black in those pics though, maybe it changed from prototype to production. Really like these, highly recommended.
-
@JunkPants those look pretty slick and I am tempted...
-
@Oaktavia Go for it. I had high hopes, and like them even better in person. Leather feels great, nice and sturdy build, seems rock solid.

It's the 4501 Logger in black oil slick leather.
Here are the pics again (uploaded them this time).

-
@JunkPants YOOOO, that black oil slick looks fab as feeeeek mang. I LOVE my Briar, and if they're anything alike, that shit is gonna age beautifully.
-
@JunkPants congrats they are really awesome. I picked up the briar

-
@WhiskeySandwich @PJ My first thought when I got these out of the box was: Damn, I'm gonna have to get these in the Briar as well.
-
Here are some loggers 4585 from the last release the briar oil slick has a quite reddish burgundy colour to it which I Iike.

-
@Oaktavia I keep getting sucked back in as well. Always had a soft spot for Mocs.
-
@Oaktavia Red Wing is great imo. And it's good to have a sizeable manufacturer of solid, high quality shoes/boots still in business. Far from a given these days.
And even though I really like (and wear) a lot of the stuff, it wouldn't be too hard to make the case that the whole "luxury work boot" thing has gotten a bit out of hand. Entry level Vibergs for instance have gotten up to $1000 from what I can see.
-
@JunkPants yeah I just honestly don't see the draw for spending that much money or more than I already have on boots. I'm more of a denim lover while boots are more secondary. I like the idea of RW because they are less fancy but imo in a good way. More "plain" while still looking great.
