Thanks so much!

Will this come out in different colors like indigo?

Hey does anyone know if these fit well with engineer boots such as the John Lofgren wabash? I currently have pair that I love but not sure if a leg opening of 7.5 in enough for engineer boots
-
Hey guys. I’m super interested in these. I tried them on today. How is the shrinkage after a cold soak? I have room to shrink but don’t want them to shrink too small. I love this black to grey fade. Also when is the next release? I know they’re in stock now but I may try to wait till the Black Friday sale. A chance I know.
-
@knappman74 Where did you try them on? These haven't released by IH in a good while, surprised to hear of anywhere having them in stock and then on sale...
As for a cold soak you wont get shrinkage, I don't own these jeans but unless they're unsaforized you wont get any shrinkage, and if you do a hot "soak"/wash I normally lose about an inch on the waist from washing but it stretches back out...
Maybe someone else that owns these can chime in, or with better experience than me
-
These are at Self Edge, and they are unsanforized…
-
@knappman74
they are not often restocked , guess once a year.
they will shrink , but stretch back at the waist.
be careful when you think of hemming, they loose around 1” in lenght! at least mine did with 30 degrees wash. -

I'm not sure about that unsanforized part. The description in the top post describes them as sanforized.
-
Also SE page states the following:
Disclaimer: These jeans are made of raw sanforized denim, when cold washed, the denim will shrink approximately 1" in the length and waist. Please keep this in mind when choosing your size. The denim will also stretch in the waist up to 1" after approximately 20 wears.

@hippieflipflops could be a stretch, I think you would want at least a 8" leg opening for narrow shaft engineers like Mr Lou or the Lofgrens. I have a 555s-19L with a little over 8" I wear with wesco boss with the narrow shaft and especially at first when the leather is still new and stiff you see the shaft under the fabric and it's not easy to get the pants leg down.
-
@Karol Hi Karol, when I was in the LA Self Edge store a couple of weeks ago, I was warned directly about them being unsanforized. So I guess someone could reach out to them directly if they’re that interested.
-
@sophisto000 that's remarkably interesting! Maybe something changed along the way. @ShopatIronHeart or @kiya is the only hope to clarify.
-
@sophisto000 Hi! These jeans are sanforized, whilst you may see some ever so slight shrinkage, more so in regards to the inseam. The waist is expected to stretch with time/wear
-
Well then gents, color me **incorrect!!
I’ll see myself out…**EDIT - let me clear the guys at Self Edge by saying I misremembered what they told me, as they know their product extremely well…
-
@Pipeboss713 loving that belt. What is that?

Ah ok. It’s a size 31, if that helps. I believe the leg opening is about 7.5 inches. Bummer but I guess I’ll just rock the JL Wabash engineers I plan on ordering soon with my pair of mister freedoms.
Here some fits pics. They’re a little big on the waist but love the fit everywhere else.

-
@hippieflipflops lot 64 ? Then you should be good to go. I have some 674 I wear with engineers but they are size 36
-
@FlavourFade yeah they’re lot 64. Leg opening 8.3. I knew those would work but was really hoping the 301s would too.
