Wearing it a lot in the rain will accelerate how quickly it might need to be conditioned, but you don’t need to condition a jacket very much anyway, multiple years rather than months.

@tak_rain
I’ve worn mine in the rain several times with no issues. Conditioned it once. We’re talking light rain or intermittent rain - not a downpour. The first few stains and scuffs bothered me - but they’ve all faded.

@concretor Sick! That color is just fantastic

Thank you very much for your responses! You've helped me confirm that all the stories about leather jackets getting ruined by rain are likely either about jackets of terrible quality or a complete lack of leather care skills.
@concretor - that's an amazing color! I think it's probably a nice tan, but I'll still ask - what did you use to condition it? Mustang Paste or something less specialized? -
@tak_rain
The colour will look different depending on the light from beige to orange tones. I used a thin coat of mustang paste but waited until the jacket had some significant wear. I had actually spilled some DEF fluid on the jacket, which prompted me to use it for some better protection. -

Did this only run in the tan leather? Could of swore I saw this in black leather too

Buddy of mine just gave me this in XL (new from Iron Shop Provisions) for some work I did for him! Love the smell (smells just like my Clinch Engineer Boots). This is much more enjoyable to wear than my Flat Head Rider's Jacket... the leather is just so soft and pliable. Looking forward to watching the color change as it gets some wear.
