@SKT and @Jett129 there is a documentary that I think may have originated as a VH1 Behind the Music episode about the Wilburys that I think is widely available. I believe I watched it on Amazon Prime. At any rate, the members of the group go into full detail about how the whole thing came to be. If this isn’t it it at least has some of the content from it:

@Aetas no real reason, I just found myself clicking through Youtube videos of German bands that I listened to in my teens and uni years. That lyric obviously speaks to me
