Y'2 Leathers….
-
@truby epic pickup, would love to see pics of this in the sunlight!
-
@SourPower bro this jacket
is so stubborn…
perhaps I’m just a noob
but I didn’t know you had to wrestle with these suckers out of the box in order to make the leather lay flat.
For comparison this jacket came with main “creases” premade….
-
im not seeing the problem here with the creases? That Flat Head jacket looks like about any other brand new leather jacket I've tried on. Most places that sell new jackets are also very picky that trying them on doesnt crease the arms or scratch the surface so it's as new as possible for the person who buys it. Most places in Japan have insisted that I remove my watch and that I do not bend my arms when trying it on in the show room. They'll button or zip the jacket as requested to check fit.
-
I’ve never rocked a double rider, but from the looks of @truby’s pics, I took it to mean the Y’2 lacks the flappy/snappy/foldy ease the zip of the Flat Head one seems to have.
-
A few of my favorite things
-
How long did that take to get to that point?
-
@truby man I haven’t even gotten to wear it much yet. I wore around the house a lot at first to help break in but now that it’s cooling off it’ll get a lot of wear
-
@hgering27 the red hits.
What is the shirt??
-
@BalticBob looks like a match
-
@Darth-fader could you give any updates on this one. have you had a chance to wear it much. I was scoping it out on sop
-
@truby yeah I love this thing. And it’s from ship john
-
@hgering27 hell yeah, I have been getting mine out on the daily for early morning dog walks. But other than that, still too hot for daily wear.
-
@truby Thanks! It's an awesome jacket, I'm breaking it out every chance I have and trying to prevent myself from looking at more leather jackets now.
This Y'2 jacket is so good.
-
yea I can’t take mine off…. OCD kicking in
-
I have been trying to wear this one as much as possible now. Had a light sprinkle of rain, which definitely helped it take some more shape. Still a long way to go to break this in, but it is coming along. Just stoked to get some more wear time now. The evening light was making the deep red glow so felt like I had to snap a shot to share.

@derek111 looking amazing
…..in my experience with Y2 horsehide jackets, it’s best when they feel slightly too big to begin with, but with wear (and a good dose of rain) then really shrink down and start to shape perfectly. My red chore jacket is probably the most comfortable to wear of them all
