@Oaktavia what a beauty, great work man. Pretty inspiring thread here as well. I need to get back to some creative outlets. As a washed up printmaker my creative endeavors have dwindled...2009 was not a great year in my neck of the woods to be looking for work as a BFA grad, so my path took me some other directions. Really need to scratch that itch again though, the ol' mental health could certainly use it.

@derek111 it can be super difficult to get back into creating. I painted a lot in my early 20s and then was unproductive for about a decade. Finally, a few years ago I picked it back up again. Some things just take time and can't be rushed.

@endo the Paul Crichley painting; is the blue window frame painted or an actual window frame with the cast shadows painted on?

It consists of three painted wooden panels connected with hinges. The cast shadows are painted on.

@endo thanks for posting these incredible pieces. Made my Saturday morning more enjoyable. Really curious about the context of the piece that depicts the woman being held down, flipping the bird and her finger being measured So many standout works

Thanks @SKT. Unfortunately I didn't note the name of that work's artist. To me it seems as if they are measuring her 'no fucks given' ability. The amount of high-quality art impresses me every year, considering the provincial location in which the exhibition takes place (Rendsburg). And many are for sale. Like the first one by Harmut Kiewert (Sand III), which I'd love to buy, despite I would not have place to hang the 300x200 cm format and it is 15.000€. Got the poster instead

@endo “no fucks given” seems right. Love it. And I dig the one you mentioned too. I like the juxtaposition of the farm animals in those settings. Totally interesting
