You wear that shirt (and ducks) well! It really is a good work shirt and tough as nails.

Mine’s due for its first wash, any tips?

@Denman-John thank you! I hand wash in cold water, light agitation at first and then 30 mins soak, then clean water soak / rinse and lay flay to dry. I found there was about 1/2" shrinkage in the chest and length the first time I got it wet, so be careful if you're worried about that. The serge relaxed back out eventually but it took some time.

Glad this shirt is in continuous production. It might have to become one of my first IH shirts, if not the first.

@sknip I have a couple of pics in this thread so not sure which shoes you're referring to. However, they're either checkerboard Vans slip-ons, or Red Wing 8863. Cheers!

I washed this shirt for the first time at 30 degrees, 400rpm inside out. Pre-soaked. Hang-dry afterwards and I am left with some creases.. on the inside they are a bit white. Someone else wrote about this too. Is 400rpm not considered low-spin cycle? I am disappointed. So many wear days; expensive shirt. Perhaps better to state no-spin on the washing instructions?

It appears you did good in turning the shirt inside out prior to wash as the white abrasion lines looks to be within the interior? I’d imagine the crease could easily be removed with a soak or warm iron

The creases should come out with ironing.

I have had the western version for years and whilst I wash it sparingly, it does look like someone has tried doing origami with it when it comes out the washer. I stick mine on a hanger, pull it taught, then once it is bone dry, iron it on a light heat, incrementing the heat slightly as I go.

As the guys have mentioned above, they will come out, don't worry!

The devil is in the detail..

Thanks for the quick replies. I tried ironing before but did not help. I will soak and iron again. Cheers
