Rode the Norton up from the City a couple days ago. The front brake is in need of a little tlc. But other than that, she’s holding up well for a 51 year old.

@SFMCfranky i think all of us in our 50’s and older are leaking fluids, valves need adjusting, and shouldn’t discuss our exhaust.

Beautiful bike @SFMCfranky

Thank you, Sir.

A couple interesting bikes in front of the Clubhouse last night. John’s ‘58 Gilera 175 and Skyler’s new Duc. Check out the pipe on the Gilera. 1 into 2 into 1. WTF?

The brake failure kept my Commando in the garage. But I was still able to get in a nice ride this morning with my brother Richard thanks to Stephan - who loaned me his Kawasaki.

from my first lap a year and a half ago at Sepang
2:54.88
2:43.35
2:39.33
2:34.27
2:33.84 today.first time running slicks with a set of warmers I won earlier this year in a lucky draw. I doubt I'll get much faster than this soon but it's been an experience. last track day for the year, we'll see how the next goes..
I wish they brought F1 back here...

@Giles you and me both, I would love a Metisse, especially a Triumph engined one.
-
@truby I love Fat Boys, but having said that,of all the special/limited edition models,I like this one the least, and I love chrome. Is this to replace the bike you crashed? I’ve ridden them over the years, and depending on the kind of riding you do,more or less than 100 miles a day, this may or may not be the best bike for you.
-
@Jett129 hey man thanks I appreciate yalls opinions and will weigh them for sure. this would be my one and only bike and it would be mainly used for like half hour to an hour long rides just for fun around the back roads in the country surrounding my house. When I road trip I’ll probably take the sports car like 99.999% of the time.
I also like fat boys and chrome

@truby Something else to consider, and that is ,wether or not ,how the bike sounds is important to you. It always was to me. Out of the box they don’t have that classic HD potato/potato sound, and you would need to at the very least put slip ons on the bike. Which raises the question do you want to do this to a limited edition bike. I paid the “Harley Tax” on all my bikes. The Vance and Hines 2-1 ProPipe was my go to. Where do you do your riding/call home? Last but not least you should definitely ride one before you buy it. They probably won’t let you test ride that one,but you should take a Fat Boys out, unless of course you’ve ridden them.
-
@truby its a dope bike for sure man. Obviously you’re paying 28k because it’s a special edition but you can get a new Road Glide for the same price. I have a road glide and the storage/ride/speakers are unbeatable

@truby I think it’s overpriced and dislike chrome unless it’s an oldie. If I had that kinda money for a bike it’d be a panhead, but I’m sure that’s an unpopular opinion.
It would def catch eyes tho, but would be a bitch to clean. I hear the M8 is nice now that they worked out the bugs tho, and softails are the new hardtail soooo.
Bike preferences are totally subjective, if you love it that’s the most important thing.
