      Talking Dexter on the TV thread made me think how some of my favorite television started w some very high highs and ended with low lows… in no particular order, my top 5 TV bipolar runs:
      Dexter
      Game of Thrones
      Lost
      Carnival
      Heroes

              @flannel-slut that’s a solid list. Carnival was good it just ended abruptly imo. Twin Peaks famously had bad 2nd season but that third season, flawless.

              I think any show with a complex plot has trouble extending beyond the first couple seasons. X-Files is another good example.

              I loved West Wing, terrible after Aaron Sorkin left.

                  @flannel-slut Game of Thrones should be called Game of two halves. You can tell when they ran out of properly articulated source material and had to make shit up based on the broader plot lines

                      I’ll enter a comedy here…The Office. 7 seasons of greatness with Steve Carell but the last 2 were rough.
