IHV-51-BRN - 12oz Duck N1 Deck Vest - Brown
-
I know some of the items came in short in the body. Was this one of them?
-
@CosmoSix5 No, the tanker jacket and lightweight N1 samples were shorter than H san would like, so will be tweaked
-
Like a lot, but wonder about the use-case for me. Anything N1 needs reasonably cold weather, and in DK this usually goes with wet weather as well. I suspect this is more for you guys with more continental climate, blessed with dry and cold winters!
-
I really liked this in FW vid and it’s just grown on me since. It does look a bit short on the model so I get @CosmoSix5 ’s question. Maybe he’s wearing a longish sweater underneath? In any case, such nice vest and no need to worry about sleeve length this time around

@Alex said in IHV-51-BRN - 12oz Duck N1 Deck Vest - Brown: @jimcord yeah, i think we will look at that for future collections. A lot of the retailer love Adam mentioned yday was for the fabric rather than the overall item (sorry to debunk @ARNC 's theory) as they often struggle with N1 Vests. Let's see how FW25 goes, and you may see a return in a future season I'll be letting my wife know i made the sacrifice of buying this item for the greater good of the material seeing the light of day once more

Lol woke up this morning and I had been dreaming g that I had a pair of IH duck cloth pants made from this brown/black material and they were so cool! So it begs the question, have you guys experimented with pants with this cloth yet? if so, I want first dibs on them, size 34!:)

I just discovered this thread, apparently I'm a few months late. I grew up wearing a synthetic sherpa lined Levi's denim jacket for many winters, so the synthetic lining doesn't bother me at all. If anything, I find the alpaca lining in my N1 to be so warm that it limits how much I can wear it. We rarely get down below the 20s and 30s here in Oregon. The depth of color you've achieved with this fabric is really something special, and I agree with others in saying that as cool as this vest is, I would get more use out of a Type 3, a Western shirt/CPO, or a sherpa lined Type 3 with the same fabric and lining. I bought the IHJ-526-SL, but sadly the fit didn't work out for me on that batch. This fabric on a sherpa lined jacket would be epic! Or a western CPO with a dark brown corduroy collar......

This reminds me of one of my all time favorite IH vests, the Boa Vest. I am hoping this piece is long enough, sadly the Boa wasnt
-
Definitely a gorgeous piece. I am hoping that it won't be too short, that's my only concern. I know that's common for vests of this type, and it could just be based on the model in the pictures on the IH site. Can't wait to see the measurements.
-
The measurements won’t differ wildly from the other Iron Heart N1 vests, so that should give you a decent idea. I don’t feel like they are short at all, but it all depends on one’s build of course.

I’m in Tokyo on a Japan honeymoon trip and paid a visit to the Hachioji store on Friday. It was a great visit and loved chatting with the staff who were very helpful. I was really hoping this piece would be there by my visit… and it had arrived that morning. It’s beautiful - maybe a hair lighter (weight) than the images suggested, but a great piece. I am an L in the N1 so I figured the same here. L was too snug to be used to layer, so the XL (larger of my L/XL range) is perfect. Going to be a super useful piece and is really great in person! Hope the sizing info can help you guys eyeing this piece. Hotel room is too chaotic and small for a fit pic.
-
That brown fabric is great - I love the khaki Diet N1 but brown would edge it (if it existed).
-
@americanathreads Definitely a little jealous you got your hands on this already. Beautiful piece.
-
@datblonddood yeah I got very, very lucky!
-
@americanathreads Awesome! My Mom was just in Tokyo as well. Please share some fit pics when you have the opportunity.
-
@Danimal506 You should have got her to snag you one.
