@pechelman
@MizmazzleI was mainly concerned about how big the shoulders look but to be honest it doesn’t look too far off from the dude that did the shrink test on the iron heart video. His was pretty big on him as well along with the sleeves.

Looks too big to me. Even with a super hot wash, I’m not sure it’ll shrink up enough.
I agree. It will shrink most in the length but the main concern to me is the width. It looks too wide in the shoulders, too big in the arms, and too much material around the waist.
I would size down.

@worn2fade
Here’s mine before I soaked/ washed it -
@worn2fade heres it is after a wash and some wear
-
@sabergirl an expensive one unfortunately lol
-
@branpureza we share the same concerns man. I just want to be able to wear my denim and wabash shirt under and I feel like if I went with XL (my normal IH shirt size,) I would only be able to wear a T under it. The chest measurements of the XL were already smaller than my wabash and western measurements.
-
@Mizmazzle you nailed your fit brother. Even pre wash it didn’t look too big on you at all just the sleeves and the length a little which were guaranteed shrinkers.
-
@worn2fade I mean…the chest and shoulders were pretty wide pre wash. They both def came in. Not as much as the arms and length granted.
My own personal shrink results are documented in the threads. But they were pretty spot on with the IH shrink tests.
-
@Mizmazzle yeah but your chest and shoulders look much better than mine pre-soak lol. Mine has a lot more room if you compare both pictures.
-
@Mizmazzle honestly, maybe it’s not too different lol. I may just be over thinking this but I don’t know man, I have the worst luck with jackets and the fact that it’s raw doesn’t help at all.

I got an XL with the biggest chest measurement they could find (23.5”)
Hot soaked it for an hour, let it dry, then hot soaked and hot washed it… then threw it in the dryer for a while. It fits pretty good now but to get that much shrinkage that I think you’re looking for you will have to wash and dry the crap out of it. I’d rather start smaller and not have to blast the crap out of it.
For reference I’m 6’2”, 195lbs.
-
@worn2fade I hear ya dude. It’s nerve wracking for sure. I can tell you that I had another lefty before this one I found used but still unwashed. It fit pretty good at first…then I washed it and I couldn’t wear it anymore. I tend to err on the side of “slightly bigger is better than too small.”
-
@branpureza I’m 5’11 & 195lbs with a 43” chest.
My chest measurement on this jacket is 24” with a 20.7” shoulder.
-
@branpureza do you layer anything underneath your jacket aside from a T-Shirt? & do you know your actual chest measurement?
-
@worn2fade it may be a little bit on the larger side after the shrink, but if you want to layer it, that may be a good thing. Mine is this way...this jacket is great for layering if you allow room for it. This one is a tough call...if it were my jacket, I would take the plunge.
-
@worn2fade I haven’t tried anything other than a t-shirt under it.
My chest relaxed is around 45”.
I have to have at least a 23” PTP on my shirts.
I lift weights and am more top heavy… (I need to do more more legs lol)
