I’ve spent a fun couple of hours this morning listening to haku and learning about the meaning of the song title they cover here ‘Mono No Aware’.
My conclusion is that the world would be a better place with more haku in it!

@Jett129 i know it wasnt directed at me but I believe thats Glenn kotche (current drummer and complete savant in my opinion)

He has a distinctive mix of traditional and match grip if you look closely

@Jett129 thanks for sharing and yep @GraemeE is exactly right. Love Glenn’s drumming. He came on board during the recording of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in the early 2000’s I believe replacing Ken Coomer. I think he has a style all his own and it really shines live. Speaking of…I’m taking my teenage son to see Wilco next week here in Springfield! Will be his first proper concert and we both can’t wait.

@SKT I was lucky enough to catch the tour that Glenn and Nels Cline did in the mid 2000s - it was a full solo set (in a relatively small club) from each and then they did a set together

I can't think of many other percussionists who could keep my attention on their own for an hour straight

Midnight Generation from Chihuahua is like Daft Punk: Alive crossed with synth wave and an incredibly good time. Saw them in a shoebox last night. Really fun dance party. Catch them if you can!
